Timeline
Invites
Timepage supports event invites and alerts you to invites in your Timeline.
To turn this feature on or off, navigate to the Timeline menu of Preferences and look under the “Invites” header. By default, “Show event invites on timeline” is turned on, but you can turn it off by tapping the option, which will remove the .
Shading
Day shading is used in Timeline to help you differentiate between days. Though the default day shading method is on alternate days, you can instead have Timepage shade on:
- Alternate weeks
- The past
- Weekends
- Today
To make changes to day shading, select your preference under the “Shading” header in Timeline preferences. Under “Heavy Shading,” Timepage will implement a darker shade onto your Timeline calendar.
Animation
The animation preference in the Timeline settings turns off event cycling in Timeline. Here’s what that means:
When you have many events scheduled for a particular day, Timeline will initially show a first batch of events, followed by a second batch afterwards. While this can be helpful, it can also temporarily hide important events from Timeline. If you’d like to turn this off, you can do so by toggling it under the “Animation” header.
Day and Date
Under “Day and Date,” you can change the rotation of the name and number of dates shown on the left side of Timeline. In its default state, the day is positioned above the number – with “Rotate vertical” turned on, the day and date will be written side by side. This is similar to how the month and year is written.
Days at a Glance
With a pinch-to-zoom gesture, you can reduce or increase the number of days shown on Timeline at one time. To focus in or expand the view, pinch in and out to zoom anywhere in Timeline.
If you’d prefer to simply select a number, you can do that in the “Days at a Glance” preference under Timeline. After navigating here, choose from numbers three to 10 to adjust the view in Timeline.
Menu Arrow
Although you can access the menu with a swipe, you can also tap the small, white arrow icon to navigate there directly. But if you’ve adopted a swipe-only method of navigation for Timepage, you might just want the arrow to disappear.
The last setting in the Timeline preferences is “Menu Arrow” – toggle this off to remove the arrow from the side of Timeline.
